The 1936 Carnival belongs to the “Old Carnival” period of the festival's history. Until 1936: the rondalla contests in Plaza del Príncipe and the bullring.

The 1936 Carnival Queen was Ana de la Torre del Pino with the costume “Ana, emperatriz de Austria”, designed by Hermógenes González de Guisado, representing Círculo de Amistad XII de Enero.

In Rondallas and lyrical groups, Echeyde won first prize in Performance (its first title), ahead of Masa Coral Tinerfeña and Orfeón La Paz.
