The 2024 Carnival at a glance

The 2024 Carnival belongs to the “Modern Carnival” period of the festival's history. Since 1976: the Carnival gets its name back and becomes a mass celebration. Its theme was “La televisión”. The official poster, “+Carita TV”, is the work of Arón Morales Pérez. The Queen's Election Gala was held at Recinto Ferial, directed by Jep Meléndez with stage design by Nareme Melián.

The 2024 Carnival Queen was Corina Mrazek González with the costume “El Mundo”, designed by Santi Castro, representing Centro Comercial Añaza Carrefour. Other crowns that year: Children's Queen: Sofía Rodríguez Navarro and Senior Queen: María Isabel García García.

In Adult murgas, Los Bambones won first prize in Performance (its 8th title; its first win since 2014), ahead of Trapaseros and Los Diablos Locos. In Children's murgas, Redoblones won first prize in Performance (its 2nd title; its first win since 2022), ahead of Los Distraídos and Los Mamelones. In Comparsas, Los Joroperos won first prize in Performance (its 16th title, 2 in a row), ahead of Los Cariocas and Tropicana. In Rondallas and lyrical groups, Unión Artística El Cabo won first prize in Performance (its 9th title, 3 in a row), ahead of Sociedad Mamel's and Las Valkirias. In Musical groups, Caña Dulce won first prize in Performance (its 18th title, 5 in a row), ahead of Chaxiraxi and Cantares Luz de Luna.
