The 2025 Carnival at a glance

The 2025 Carnival belongs to the “Modern Carnival” period of the festival's history. Since 1976: the Carnival gets its name back and becomes a mass celebration. Its theme was “Secretos de África”. The official poster is the work of REWA. The Queen's Election Gala was held at Recinto Ferial, directed by Jep Meléndez with stage design by Nareme Melián.

The 2025 Carnival Queen was Elisabeth Ledesma Laker with the costume “Conexión”, designed by Alexis Santana Rodríguez, representing McDonald's y El Día-La Opinión de Tenerife. Other crowns that year: Children's Queen: Camila Dorta Díaz and Senior Queen: María Julia Bello García.

In Adult murgas, Trapaseros won first prize in Performance (its 2nd title; its first win since 2023), ahead of Los Bambones and Los Irónicos. In Children's murgas, Los Mamelones won first prize in Performance (its 9th title; its first win since 2023), ahead of Redoblones and Los Castorcitos. In Comparsas, Los Cariocas won first prize in Performance (its 16th title; its first win since 2022), ahead of Los Joroperos and Bahía Bahitiare. In Rondallas and lyrical groups, Las Valkirias won first prize in Performance (its 2nd title; its first win since 2020), ahead of Unión Artística El Cabo and Masa Coral Tinerfeña. In Musical groups, Caña Dulce won first prize in Performance (its 19th title, 6 in a row), ahead of Chaxiraxi and Salsabor.
